The taxi driver who has allegedly confessed to the killing of a number of individuals on a radio show Felix Ansah has been remanded into Police custody.

The accused individual was on Monday, September 13, arraigned earlier than the circuit courtroom presided over by Her Honour Rosemond Baah Torsu.

He has pleaded not responsible to the cost of publication of false information contrary to section 208(1) of the Felony Offences Act, 1960 Act 29.

He has been remanded into police custody to reappear on September 16 for the courtroom to rethink the bail application.

This was after his lawyer Theophilus Donkor had made a bail application and similar was opposed by the prosecution.

Brief facts of the case as introduced to the courtroom by Chief Inspector Bampoe had been that, someday in September 2021, the eye of police was drawn to an announcement made or published on the “Maakye show on Onua Tv station by the accused to the effect that, he buried alive a pregnant lady at Ashaiman.

In line with him, upon the receipt of this data, police launched an investigation into the matter which led to the arrest of the accused.

He stated preliminary investigation revealed that the accused is a taxi driver and resides at Weija, Accra.

He stated it was additionally established throughout investigation that on September 2, 2021 at Onua TV morning show “Maakye” with the host Captain Smart, the accused in a response to a query from the host said that he has killed a number of individuals prior to now.
