The headmaster of Jachie-Pramso Senior High School has been interdicted pending investigations into his reported canning of a student.

In accordance with a Facebook post from the Ghana Education Service, the headmaster, Francis Donkor, “has been directed at hand over the administration and Management of the school to the Ashanti Regional Director of Education.”

The Bosomtwe District Education Directorate within the Ashanti Region had earlier disclosed to Citi News monitored by CheckAfrica News investigations have been ongoing into the incident.

In accordance with the ultimate year student, Mary Amoako Gabriel, the headmaster inflicted wounds on parts of her physique after she was beaten for handing over her jacket to a different student who was accused of dressing indecently final week.

Talking to Citi News monitored by CheckAfrica News, the Bosomtwe District Education Director, Agyemang Dua, mentioned the headmaster has been summoned by the Ashanti Regional Education Directorate as a part of investigations into the matter.

“My understanding is that some investigative team is already within the district doing their unbiased investigations into the matter and when their investigations are accomplished, I consider the Regional Directorate will issue a press release on it,” he mentioned.

Mr. Agyemang Dua who described the incident as unlucky known as on headmasters and teachers in varied schools to desist from corporal punishment in schools.
