Manchester United supporters have been left unimpressed by a brand new mural of Portuguese ace Cristiano Ronaldo that carefully resembles former EastEnders battle axe Pat Butcher

Football fans have been left in stitches at a brand new mural of Cristiano Ronaldo claimed to look extra like EastEnders legend Pat Butcher.

A mural of the Manchester United star has been painted on a wall within the city to honour his return to the club after 12 years away.

However fans are claiming the art work outdoors The Trafford pub really resembles EastEnders hero Butcher – not the Portuguese ace.

The club even posted a snap of the mural on their official Instagram account, and it did not take long for supporters to note the resemblance to Walford’s former No.1 battle axe.

One person commented on Twitter: “Is it me or does that ‘Ronaldo’ mural look more like Pat Butcher? Just missing the earrings.”

Another person stated: “Just seen the Ronaldo mural. That’s f***ing hilarious.”

One other in contrast to the art work to Queen legend Freddie Mercury: “That is simply terrible, wack a moustache on it and it is Mr Mercury”
