Andros Townsend mimicked Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic celebration after equalising for Everton in their 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Checkafrica News readers will know the Everton forward is a funny character and he produced a brilliant moment on Saturday.
Townsend rounded off a fantastic counter-attack to level the scores, cancelling out the opener from Anthony Martial.
And Everton actually could’ve won it, if Tom Davies decided to shoot when one-on-one with David de Gea late on, instead of squaring the ball to an offside Yerry Mina.
But Townsend’s celebration will dominate the headlines, running over to the Everton faithful before leaping into the air, putting both arms behind his back and shouting ‘SIUUUU’.
At the other end, five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo could only watch, having just been brought off the bench for United.
Clearly unimpressed, Ronaldo stormed down the tunnel at full-time as the Red Devils dropped more points, missing an opportunity to go top of the Premier League.
Speaking on commentary for talkSPORT, Trevor Sinclair said: “What a celebration! He’s only gone and taken on Ronaldo.”
But Townsend insisted the celebration was a mark of respect for one of his heroes.
